 | The Mecklenburg Times will host the "50 Most Influential Women" awards dinner and presentation to recognize the important role women play in the local economy. The honorees represent the most influential women in business, government, education, and the not-for-profit fields, and are selected by a panel of business leaders based on professional accomplishment and community involvement. |

 | The Mecklenburg Times will host at the Crowne Plaza Charlotte the second annual "Economic Forecast". The Economic Forecase will forewarn the business community of economic issues by identifying economic trneds and highlighting major industry concerns for future growth and development. This powerful event, expected to draw hundreds of business leaders, promises to provide key economic indicators to develop successful business and industry strategies. The all morning event will feature local experts in finance, real estate, government, entrepreneurship, manufacturing and energy. |
 | Join us in for our Discussions lunch series. In an effort to continue to offer news and information of value to the readers of The Mecklenburg Times, we host a bimonthly Discussions series. Discussions is a local series in which we invite valued readers to meet with the Publisher, Tonya Mathis, and Managing Editor, Amy Burroughs to discuss issues important to you and your company. Join us for a lively dialogue over lunch aimed at fostering success for you and the communities we serve. This is your opportunity to network with your peers, pose questions, suggest story and profile ideas and submit award nominations.
